Who We Are

Normisjon Bangladesh is a prominent Norwegian non-governmental organization that has been dedicatedly working in Bangladesh since 1866. Our journey began with a focus on serving the marginalized and indigenous communities, particularly in the northern and southeastern regions of the country.

Welcome to Normisjon Bangladesh

It is a privilege to serve alongside churches, partners, staff and communities across Bangladesh, especially ethnic communities and people who are often less heard and less served.

Rooted in Christian faith, we seek to reflect God’s love through compassion, service and hope. We believe every person has dignity, potential and purpose, and that communities flourish when people are valued and empowered.

Through education, leadership development, livelihoods, skills development, community development, and child and family care, we walk alongside children, young people, women and families.

Our special project International Child Development Programme (ICDP), we encourage parents and caregivers to create safe, caring and nurturing environments where children can grow with confidence, dignity and hope.

Together with BNELC, ECC, SPS and other partners, we strengthen families, develop leaders and invest in the next generation.

May our shared efforts reflect God’s love and bring life to new generations and new people.
